I go into every situation believing that something magical is going to come out of this... whether it's a session, a conversation or a little adventure with my family.
It matters to me that you're able to experience that magic... I believe we all deserve to celebrate each day no matter what journey we're on and no matter what wave we're riding! We all deserve to grab a latte and a cinnamon roll and just feel the warm sun on our skin!

Tyler and I love claw machines! So on one of our first dates when we saw the restaurant had a claw machine, Tyler challenged me to see who was better at it. I picked up two stuffed animals on my first try! I’m pretty sure he fell in love with me in that moment! When we were dating we would challenge each other every time we saw a claw machine. We even incorporated them into our engagement pictures.
After about 11 months of dating we got engaged. Our engagement was only 3 months long. We didn’t want a long engagement, we just wanted to start our lives together.
When you know, you know... and we knew that we meant everything to each other.
it's everything!
We LOVE family traditions!! So I thought I would share a few of ours with you...
1) THE BIRTHDAY CHAIR! Growing up whenever it was someone’s birthday my family would decorate the birthday person's chair at the kitchen table. We used whatever we could find around the house and it usually ended up being super tacky. Tyler and I now do that for each other and for our boys and I love it!
2) BIRTHDAY FOOD! Every year for Tyler’s birthday we make a dessert or dinner that we have never made before, something fun and exciting that we normally wouldn't even attempt (examples of things we have made: cannoli, funnel cake, sushi, blackberry pie, cheesecake).
3) MARCH MADNESS! Growing up, my family made a super big deal out of March Madness! It was so fun to compete with my siblings and parents! The winner got a t-shirt that we created and picked out ice cream for the fam. We still do this today, and now our spouses and children are involved. The t-shirt we made still gets passed down to the new winner each year!
What are your favorite family traditions??
Send me an email! I would love to hear all about them!!
